At the request of the community, I've made a short video demonstrating a good stroke using the DigiCue BLUE. I've added insets to the video at about the same time that the data is transferred to the app. Notice that even though I am still executing a pendulum-type arc, the moment of impact occurs during the most linear portion of the arc (the bottom). Many players who score low on straightness and use a pendulum stroke are either making contact with the cue ball at the wrong part of the pendulum stroke, or are infact not stroking/"swinging" along a vertical plane. I find it helpful to mentally focus on pushing all of the wood of the shaft past your bridge hand, guaranteeing that the upward portion of the pendulum arc occurs after contact with the cue ball.

Personally, I'd like to add a nice backstroke pause (like Niels Feijen), and use the shot interval to help me slow down my game a touch since I tend to rush under pressure.
But I believe I've come a long way. Here's an example of my stroke a few years ago before the DigiCue. Even though I could drop balls, I hated my stroke! In competition it would cause me to play great for a short period, and then drop off completely. Something needed to be done.
