I have 3/8-16 bumpers with a M6 through hole so you can use Mezz type extensions if your interested.

I'll 2nd the recommendation for the tiger product.
A friend of mine uses one on his Mike Webb cue.
It seats very nicely and the thread is so minimal it screws on in appx a half inch twist.
The extension feels very secure.
It's a great option and easy/fast to install.
