You have a picture of your dad and make mention of "Murph the surf" Jack Murphy. You say he stole the Hope Diamond but it was the "Star of India sapphire" not the Hope Diamond. I also knew Jack pretty well at the time of the robbery.
It, by the way was not the robbery of the century. They just walked in. The place was so old none of the windows were locked and the alarms didn't work.

Thank you so much for clarifying that for me. I think I have it as 2 different jewels in my writing. How exciting that you were there back then!
