Mosconi on ESPN?

It's easy to blame things like cornhole and Crossfit, but they take up a tiny percentage of programming time. The real problem is the endless series of talking-heads shows about football, now including those focusing on fantasy sports and gambling. They are cheaper to produce and get better ratings - not a tough decision for ESPN programmers.

Facebook and YouTube are both malign influences on society but at least YouTube provides a simple interface. Facebook streaming video is painfully bad.

Pool would be on TV still if somebody wants to pony up 50k to pay production costs per episode. Brunswick did for years and it didn't make money.

Pool is a fringe sport...hell real big table players aren't 20% of players anymore. So put it all up cheap PPV or free stream and enjoy pool for what it is.

Yep. How much more "fringe" can you get when you get beat out by f^*#@ng corn-holing?? Next up? Drone racing. There WILL be a BIG money drone racing tour/league before pro pool makes any kind of big comeback. Hell, you can now get college drone scholarships and at the recent event in Australia i think the winner got something like 40grand for his "dronesmanship" talent. Crazy.

thanks. Why not open a facebook account in seconds and then you can watch it!

there are an awful lot of people with privacy concerns who avoid facebook at all costs.
