Chinese 8ball stream...........

Wow, “2 stroke” Jeff Ignacio is on roll now in last 6. This may be farthest a non-C8B, non-E8B, non-snooker has reached in this event.
Now leading top gun Chu Bingjie 9-8 in race to 13.
Two time winner Yang Fan is the favourite to win whole thing

Shane did well too. He’s still missing too many shots under pressure that those with E8B or snooker backgrounds who have been successful at C8B (Appleton, Melling, Hill, Potts, Selby, etc) would miss less often. There was one shot in, I think, the match against Zheng Yubo where Shane was on the black and hit it really softly (nervously) down the rail knowing that if it knuckled he was ok as Yubo’s last ball was on the rail at the other end of the table. The black went in but he could have hit it a bit harder and made the shot. He’s learning and he played just as well as everybody else in patches. As he gets more experience with shots that aren’t natural to a US8B player, I reckon he can become a real force in this game. He’s playing out of his comfort zone but, as has been discussed at length, when Shane is in his comfort zone he is incredibly tough to beat.

Looks like Ignacio finished 4th, knocked out by Yu Haitao.

Semifinal and final matches at 10 am (about 2½ hours from now) and 3 pm local time Monday.

Yu Haitao also won the semifinal match and will play Wang Yun in the Finals about 1 hour and 40 minutes from now.

Watched a lot of this. Terrific coverage and sponsorship.

Only thing I don't like about the game are the timed matches ending so awkwardly. The finals were just getting good and it abruptly ended mid game.

Thinking same thing. Having a time limit in the semi's and finals is kinda brutal. Shot-clock the players but not the match. These cats all shoot straight'r than Dick Tracy. Tuff game.

And reduce the frequent instances of tactical time-wasting cue ball cleaning. The time to clean a cue ball should not interrupt the player's shot clock time.

No doubt. How dirty can the ball be? Table looks SPOTLESS compared to some of the crap i've played on. They do waste too much time. They outta do it like snooker and play the semi's and finals in two sessions instead of this time-limited deal. Too many ways to "manage" the clock.

So, the final order of finish:

1. Yu Haitao
2. Wang Yun
3. Yang Fan
4. Jeffrey Ignacio
5. Chu Bingjie
5. Wang Peng
7. Wang Dashuang
7. Zheng Yubo
