I found a place near me with 5 carom tables, I might go have a try.
Yea, I had seen 3 cushion in The Hustler, and in a few videos and it just looked too difficult. I doubt I would have even scored a point before becoming frustrated. I'm not saying I'd be good at carom, but I stand a chance of scoring some points, I think!
The place I found is a room owned by a Korean gentleman, and is supposedly meticulously maintained, and frequented by local Korean guys. Something like $12 to $14/hour per table, no booze, with Korean pop music playing.
We'll see.

Thanks, I will look into that. I am hoping I get a game there, no sure about the atmosphere or culture.
youll find carom players much more layed back and inviting than pool players
