Falcon cues information?

I was wondering if any of you know about the Nick varner series falcon cues. Wondering if they were the cheaper line of falcons or if they are on par with the regular older falcons from the same era? Or do they not play as good?
I'm looking at 2 different older falcon cues and will be buying one of them. One is Nick varner series and the other one is not. I like the looks of them both equally, but the Nick varner series is priced surprisingly lower than the regular falcon cue, and the design of the cue visually, would not justify the lower price. So I'm wondering if they are built cheaper? It looks as nice as the other cue, and both cues are straight. This is why I ask the question. Thanks.

The one's built in Canada were nice cues. From around '91 to '93 Ernie was getting help from Dan Janes. The Tyler Cue with Varner's signature were made with Dan's input. The cues made during this period were really good playing cues. IIRC the Tyler's were only made 1 or 2yrs and then the Falcon's came out. All the Varner Falcon's i've seen were pretty nice sticks. Got any pics?

I can try to get a couple up later today when I'm at my laptop. For some reason, this forum will not let me log a picture from my cell phone, no matter which phone I try it on.
 
My son and me both have Varner ones and they remind me of my Joss. Mine has 4 ebony points with no veneers and is has reverse points and wooden diamond inlays on the butt. Always looking for a good deal on more so post pics :)
 
When Falcons were built in Canada, I used to call them ‘Son of Joss’......
....all the shafts fit Joss (3/8 14) cues bang on.
So I would go for an older Varner....same quality.
...since they moved to China, I’m not so enthusiastic.

KPS, parent company, makes the Bear cues that Bustamante has used for years. They still make really nice cues. I've seen a few and quality looks to be on par with Lucasi.
