I’ll be staying in Dobbs Ferry May 7&8. Not familiar with any of the rooms in NY/NJ area around there. I prefer 1P action on tight tables but wouldn’t mind a 9 ball tournament. Anyone want to play some 1P. I’m usually a $25 a game guy.

The only two rooms in all of Westchester county are Cafe billiards on Tuckahoe road in Yonkers and Jack and jills in Newburgh. Cafe is a complete dump but you can probably talk some of the locals in a match or two. There was some kid who gambled 1p non stop but I don't know if he even goes there anymore.

Newburgh is about an hour away.

Do yourself a favor and go to Rockland county to either the spot or diamond Jim's. Both great rooms.

I was kinda planning on one of those two rooms. Thanks

Another recommendation for The Spot. Both The Spot and Diamond Jim's are only 20 minutes away.

I have moved away from the NY area, but Jack and Jills used to be in Brewster NY, not Newburgh - has it moved? I remember when there were 50 pool rooms in Westchester county NY- now only 2!!

Do you drive to Diamonds to play pool? I hear a new room is opening somewhere around Bonita Springs.

Yeah my bad it is in Brewster. Which is the hall in newburgh that earl herring plays out of? or is that even still around?

I di a few times- tables are the old red label Diamonds -- they are horrible in my opinion- bank short- pockets do not accept balls hit real clean and the table speed is too fast for the pocket configuration- they mess up your game unless that is ALL you play on. Please let me know about any new room down here- one is needed desperately! Dave & Busters just opened in Ft. Myers- NO POOL TABLES at all!

My buddy Nick P said the original owner of Diamonds bought an old bowling alley and has one blue diamond and has ordered more.
