Just read on Reddit that John Schmidt ran 626 at Easy Street Billiards in Monterey California. However, I didn't find anything here on AZ or Facebook yet. I hope its not a cruel hoax. He would have beaten Mosconi and Eufemia (625).

John would have beaten both Willie Mosconi and Mike Eufemia's record as well.

I read elsewhere here on AZ, that Mike Eufemia run of 625, and cited in Guinness Book of World Records for highest run, but not an official record.

February 2, 1960 (Tuesday)

At an exhibition at the Logan Billiard Academy in Brooklyn, Mike Eufemia set a record that has remained for half a century, for the longest "run", sinking 625 consecutive billiard balls without a miss.[2]

seems just a tad odd 626, exactly 100 more,

would be awesome if true, but so far no confirmation

They’ve also announced it at the Ginky Memorial on Upstate Al. But they’re saying 624.

Edit: 626 is the tentative number until they confirm the video.

Freddie <~~~ wow

I only have 1 Facebook friend so everyone who has an account should send it far and wide. It’s how things are done these days. The people must know so they can remember what they were doing on this most momentous of days.

Anyone know where/if/when the video will be available?

His 490 the other day took a couple days to get up in three parts. His wife should be a veteran at this now, so maybe she'll get it done quicker!

Edit: The 490 apparently isnt up either. No veteran status.!

I love that he shattered the record to leave no doubt. What size was the table?
