I just finished 6 wks of radiation for cancer myself; keep the positive attitude....get plenty of rest .... eat good diet....remember it's a shorter version of a marathon not a sprint. good luck to you.
Nice, huh Z? You were SMILIN', dood, hittin' them balls with it! I thought you were gonna run out the door with it!
My old Joss West is very similar except for the steel joint. And I t doesn’t look straight out of the box like yours. But it has a solid hit much like the schon I had in college. If I remember I will throw it in the case for when we run into each other. Hope you can get back there real soon Mike.
Gaining weight is a good thing, Michael.....
...’cause if I end up there next winter, I’m gonna need lots of weight.
I aint played for months...the pockets are too small, the music is too loud....:crying:
.....I need the six[/QUOTE]
I got cancer... you got the six.
I got the nuts.
BET IT UP. :slap:
Michael,
I hope your doin the best you can with your treatments! I did not realize you are in Clearwater. I grew up on Indian Rocks Beach. I visit 2-3 times a year and was just there for a week. I will be back down in Sept., get well so we can play some pool!!
Keep fighting the good fight bro!

Hey DM - My bad. I got out of gear due to having no chemo on Monday. My kidney count ( they draw blood every Monday morning first thing, then the chemo RN reviews. If everything looks ok it's a go for chemo ) was too high ( 1.4... can't be higher than 1.3 ) and my platelets count was too low ( has to be 95 or above. I was 88.7 ) so they called off chemo. First time that's happened. Should all be good this coming Monday. We'll see.
Other than that, the feeding tube is a bit problematic. If I cough ( which I do alot to clear my throat ) it causes my abdomen to tighten around the tube which causes some pain. No biggie, just annoying. Gaining weight back slowly. Only had the tube a week and a bit over 10 lbs back already.
It's an adventure.
Thanks for asking, DM. Sincerely...
I used to surf at Plottner's if you remember that ( or are old enough ) on Indian Rocks.
PM me when you're down here, Trent, we'll get together at Family ( Court and Missouri, directly across from Mickey D's ).
Doing so far so good... one step at a time. A few months from now I'll be back to normal.
Thank you, sir...
No apologies needed. Rest is important too!! Sorry to hear you are having some minor issues this week. Gaining ten pounds is a good sigh. Keep at it:smile:
I am 44 and lived there from 81' to 98', never heard of that spot, where is it? We surfed Central, 7th and 8th aves, south at Sunset on Treasure Island. Lots of east coast trips too. I skimmboarded a lot and skateboarded more than anything. I know where Family Billiards is, what are their tables like these days? I usually visit Jesse at CM's in Seminole, he has 3 nice 9' Blue Label Diamond Pro Am's, I will actually recovering 2 of them while I am there. We will def shoot some pool!

Plottner's was a motel and a small surf shop on Ind Rcks circa 65 to 73 or so...
<----- skimboarded and skateboarded and surfed Ormond and Cocoa ALOT.
6 GCs now, all recovered @ 2 mnths ago. Was in CMs @ 8 weeks ago, first time in 30 yrs or more.
Yeah, a bit before my time! Island Shop was our surf/ skim/ skateshop. Now it is Nekton, the Lopez's own it, local legend surfers! We did a coast trip while I was there, Sebastian one session and RC's the other. Waves were not cooperating much, was super blown out and set intervals were 3 seconds. Got rinsed a few times each session, was still good to be in the water.
As for family billiards, is has been 20 + years for me. I hear Crooked Cue is a good spot. We can sort all that out down the road. For now, keep focused on getting better man!

Peter Lopez ( the dad ) and I are friends from waayyyyyy back. He was my sister's b/f's best friend circa 69. 70, 71. My sister's b/f moved to Hawaii and Pete moved out there at the same time. He gave me his job, working at a ceramic shop "The Mud Hut". Haven't thought about that in decades. Sebastien was always too crowded for us, That's why we mostly went to Ormond.
We all grew up with the Lopez Brothers: Shea And Corey. They are West Coast of Florida LEGENDS. Not many ever made it Pro and they certainly are known in the surfing world. Pete was our baseball coach and one of my brothers worked for him for many years. Cool people, small world! Look forward to meeting you and shooting some stick!

I wish I could eat *anything*! I have a feeding tube! :grin-square:
Thanks for the encouragement. A few more weeks and then I'll spend a few months recovering, then good as new. Best wishes for you in your battle as well. It's a new day every day.
