Starting treatment on Monday

230am and I'm here instead of sleeping. Just woke up @ 30 mins ago and couldn't fall back so here I am. Have to get up at 615 to leave for the hospital at 7. The fun starts with blood drawn at 9am, then see the nutritionist, then radiation, then surgery prep for the feeding tube which is set for 1pm. Then an hour of additional fluids ( saline water ) I.V. then finally home.

Going to be a loonnngggggggggg day and I'm here, catching up on the 626 run.

KC - yeah, made it through ok. But it WAS a lonnnggggggggg day. Left at 715am, got home last nite at 830. Then had the Title company lady here for closing on my house refinance that's being going on for 2 months now and THAT took almost 2 hours. MAN, what a day! But the tube's in, and when the old lady gets up, she's-a-gonna be stuffin some food into my belly. It'll be the first ANYTHING I've had to eat in 3 weeks. I am relieved, to say the least. So far, no pain from this thing. Just a tiny bit of discomfort but I think that's mostly just knowing it's there more than anything else.

I'd be dancing but I ain't got the energy. BUTTTTTTTTTT, having said that, my NEW Sideways Josswest is being delivered to the room today ( I'm in and out for treatment too much to chance having it delivered here at home ) and so I'll pick it up this eveing and THEN I WILL be danccnnnnngggggggg!!! Oh yeahhhhhhhhh!

I will make sure we break that sucker in so it's ready for you. I might even bring my old Joss West up there...It's been awhile since I've had it out.

Thanks, Z. So far, so good. The wife and I just used the feeding tube I had put it yesterday about an hour ago. First thing besides water I've had in my belly in 3 weeks! Works great!

Hell yes, dude! Bring yer JW down! You're gonna love the one I'm getting, I promise you. It's BOOT ee full!

Just went and picked it up and hit balls with it. WOW!!! What a gorgeous, phenomenally-well-made cue. Solid as a ROCK! 2 PERFECTLY straight shafts, butt in 99% perfect condition. And it's 40 ( possibly + ) years old. Don't ever tell me Bill Stroud makes anything less than WORLD CLASS cues. Holly smokes!!!

And know what else? It's like brand new! You almost have to use a pair of vice-grips to get either shaft on, they're so tight. Like it's never had a ball hit with it. Man oh man.

Bill had left Tulsa for Colorado about the time i started playing but just about everyone in town had one of his cues. World-class stuff by any standard. Bill was a top-notch player who just knew how one should play. Glad you found one.

Thanks B! Yup, this cue is a *Blues-breaker* fo sho!!! Not that I got the blues cause I really don't. Things are going very well so far with treatment. And both my son and my wife are in good health, the house looks nearly brand new, we closed on the refinance last night. ALL IS WELL. I have tons of freinds I never knew I had... life is good.



AND I GOT A NEW SIDEWAYS JOSSWEST!!!!!! YYEAAHHHHHHHHH!!!

Me too, Gar. And tell ya what. amigo, come on down to Clearwater and not only will my old lady cook you one of the best meals you've ever had but you can hit balls with this cue all night long. I got a few others! :grin:

Might have to plan on that. I got a bud that works in a room in Vero. Need to make it down that way.

But I have to let you now in advance. There'll be a nominal rental fee for the JW. Gar already knows. Cause, y'know... the thing cost me a FORTUNE. :wink: :grin:
