What About " TUCK & ROLL ???

I thought the same thing, trust me.
I've been using for years. Never had this problem, trust me. I always use bhe. FHE never felt right so i never went with it. These methods are different for each person. Nothing's written in stone.

Front hand for outside English, back hand for inside English. You will miss quite often if you use backhand for outside english.
I think using front hand vs. back hand works best for different cues (front hand for lower squirt vs. back hand for higher squirt).

It makes some sense to aim fuller (front hand) with outside spin and thinner (back hand) with inside spin, but only a little.

Yep, it does make a difference I agree.

I used to use backhand for both and my buddy started laughing because he "forgot" to tell me about fronthand for outside.

Playing 4 1/4 pockets it makes a huge difference

Some aim on some shots as described above, aim here, straight stroke there.

Others use a bit of wrist twist to apply english. "Tuck and roll" seems more like that move than "Tuck and stroke".

There's a related thread on swooping.
