Oh snap

Ash tray built into the table.... nice

I'm not a smoker and would bash heads if someone dared to carry a cigarette near my table, but pretty cool to see the old school build.

private club means some come in and hang around and watch and socialize. that room looks hard to do that. and will be kind of noisy i would think.

The front is the lounge area, with far fewer tables and a separate game room. This space (the back room) will have carpet tiles, but until we are finished with the scissor lift this weekend, no point in installing it yet. The ladders and machinery would just tear it up

Those aren't ashtrays, they are chalk holders

those old ash trays were always a pain on the tables. plus if you got a table often it had butts in it and you had to deal with them. at least nowadays they command a premium if you replace them.

that place seems really nice. can you get enough members to justify all those tables?
will people sign up for a membership rather than just go to a pool room. i guess you will find out.
i hope it works out as then maybe other areas with little to no rooms might follow suit.

and not being a public establishment means you may have many less fees and regulations.

also can make it a corporation in itself without any possessions so if sued for some reason there wont be any assets to attach.
also make entry very security minded so as to no get stuck up.

That's why I went the private route. No food or beverage served outside of Vending machine snacks and sodas. BYOB is legal if a private, non-retail establishment. The tables all belong to me, and the corporation has a lease with very few assets, just the building improvements.

For security, 16 cameras and logged, fingerprint-only access with automatic locks. If a door is propped open, it alerts myself and the facility manager and I can see on camera who did it. A strict code.of conduct to ensure people act like adults, and that should really be enough to keep the members working together. I'll report back with how we fare on the financial front, if it is possible and a positive, or a disaster and in the hole forever.

Worst case scenario, I have the best home room in the country if no one joins haha
