Any Crown except the 5. I’m getting a thirst for matte with grey. (Don’t say it)There is nothing like the look of a Gold Crown.

Thanks, man. I'm not a huge 1P fan but I play it from time to time. You must be a 1P player. Pockets look perfect and blue cloth looks much better than green. Very nice room and well done table. Congratulations. If I lived closer I’d like to be your friend![]()
I like your lite-systems LED. I have the FinNHard to beat the looks and play of a properly restored and set up Gold Crown 1.

Just to clarify: this is a customer's set up.I like your lite-systems LED. I have the FinN

Castings. First time saw a 5 in a room

I asked what it was. Tradition died. Maybe the 5&6 should have retained it standard look but offered in different finishes/woods.
Weird. I think the 5 is one of the best if not the best looking table on the market.

Maybe I'm so old I have seen more 1-3's in my lifetime than any other table and the style is glued in my mind. Antique brass would do more for me on the 5-6's. I'm warming up to the 6's somewhat. It's starting to grow..(and the 5 is also). The walnut or mahogany would have a camel, gold, or mocha 860. The black matte would have a grey 860.I agree
I agree, don’t see how the 5 fails to fall in line with the previous GC‘s other than the updated ball box. The 5 Castings look like the 4 (flush with the pockets), both the 4 & 5 have no score counters or builder plate.
The 6 seems to stretch the GC tradition, but it’s still says GC when I see it.

I had also only seen GC1-4 for 20 years, before ever seeing a GC5 in person for the first time when I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago. I thought it was way, way, better looking than any GC before. But, to each his ownThat is why cars all come in different colors and flavors

You got me...It's sharp. I'm converted.Love the castings and the abundant of alloy on the GCV
Absolutely!!!! I also like the little touches the Gold Crown engraved in the corner castings. I would certainly be interested in putting a GCV top on my table some day.Love the castings and the abundant of alloy on the GCV
Did the 5's fix the pitting issue the prior GC's had on their castings? They've been out now for 15 or so years, so I would imagine any pitting issue on the 5 would be known by now. I haven't seen a 5 in a while myself to check.
