Any ideas who made this stuff?

The white joints are all ivory. I think below the channel on the butterfly cue is as well, but I’m not sure.

Different variations of 5/16-14 and 5/16-18.

Shaft doesn’t seem to match-up with anything, but could perhaps place the work in a particular era.

I put the bumper on the Greenleaf butt.

These all roll laser-straight to my eye.

Very curious stuff here.

No idea of the maker but would like some back story. Where they came from, when you acquired them, are you finishing them. All the good stuff.
I bought them online from a guy who is supposedly liquidating a large collection for a widow.

I don’t know much about them except that they are old and quality, as is the rest of the items I’ve seen.

I may have one finished to keep and sell or trade the rest.

I would think by the style the one with the turquoise style rings would be 1970's or made to look like it was. That was pretty popular in the 70's

So, I have a strong suspicion that Verl Horn made the forearm of the 8-pointer.

I don’t know if anything else in the group points directly to him… A loaded, unmarked Horn did come out of the same collection.

Would anyone outside of OK have been using Verl‘s points in the 70’s?

Ingram? Dan Prather?

All Asian import. Hey that's what they say to me when I make a guess. The thickness of the steel joint on the end one suggests Asian.

Garage projects... Yeah, could be.

I think there’s more to them then that.

No idea on who did the work, but the Greenleaf is cool. They were actually made in Japan for Brunswick. I’ve seen a few originals with MIJ stickers on them.

The 8 pointer is probably a Prather forearm.

I dig the blue on the butterfly, but no idea who made it.

Actually, the joint work is not that bad at all. However, there is nothing that really distinguishes the cue with a known maker. Also the very thick joint walls do tend to be from Asia, though to be honest, some here too.

My initial post was sort of tongue in cheek. Whenever a mystery cue is around, there are a few who automatically chime in with "Asian import!"

All the best,
WW
