Help gluing point veneers

I wanted to try to add some veneers to my points.

I made a press arrangement and glued up the veneer stack using West system epoxy and this worked quite well.

Next I cut the mitered edges.

But, I am at a loss as to how to hold them in place so I can glue them together.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!

You can use painters tape or I created a jig out of aluminum with 90 degree inside corner. Line jig with wax paper and use surgical tubing as a clamp until the glue dries.

I use the tape method as Phil said. Lay a strip of painters tape down, put the seam of the veneers in the middle. I fold it before the glue to check the seam and edges. Then run a bead of super glue and fold them back up. Put a little piece of tape to hold it closed. Then epoxy your point wood in and go from there.

I made a fixture out of HDPE so the glue doesn't stick...I'll take some pictures later and post them.

I use BSI IC-GEL to glue the mitered veneers. Put painters tape on the back side and fold them together to make sure everything looks good then unfold and run a little of the gel down the seam and fold them back up and wipe out any squeezed out glue then while holding them together or using a jig spray a shot of accelerator in the seam and you are ready to move on in the process.
