They forget to address the ball.
Just like golf for example.
It happens especially on almost straight in shots on the bad eye side or balls a inch or barely more off the rail two or three feet from the pocket.
How to address the ball.
You stand over the shot.
You get in line before you even bend over.
From head to toe.
That is when you get in line to stroke everything. It is established before your swing.
Dead line.
Every time.
