This was a 17-player, double-elimination event. Races were to 11 except for the Finals, which was a single race to 15. The main commentators in these streamed matches were Jeremy Jones, Ray Hansen, Larry Schwartz, and Mary Kenniston.

Breaker won the game:

Total -- 50% (101 of 201)

Break-and-run games on all breaks:
Match winners -- 11% (13 of 119)
Match losers -- 7% (6 of 82)
Total -- 9% (19 of 201)

Break-and-run games on successful breaks (made at least one ball and did not foul):
Match winners -- 26% (13 of 50)
Match losers -- 16% (6 of 37)
Total -- 22% (19 of 87)

Here's a breakdown of the 201 games (for match winners and losers combined).

Breaker made at least one ball and did not foul:
Breaker won the game: 52 (26% of the 201 games)
Breaker lost the game: 35 (17%)

Breaker fouled on the break:
Breaker won the game: 1 (0%)
Breaker lost the game: 7 (3%)

Breaker broke dry (without fouling):
Breaker won the game: 48 (24%)
Breaker lost the game: 58(29%)

Therefore, whereas the breaker won 50% (101 of 201) of all games,
He won 60% (52 of 87) of the games in which the break was successful (made at least one ball and did not foul).
He won 43% (49 of 114) of the games in which the break was unsuccessful (fouled or dry).

Break-and-run games -- The 19 break-and-run games represented 9% of all 201 games, 19% of the 101 games won by the breaker, and 22% of the 87games in which the break was successful (made a ball and didn't foul).

The 19 break-and-run games consisted of 2 two-packs (1 each by De Luna and Orcollo ) and 15 singles. No one broke and ran more than 2 games in a row.

10-Balls on the break -- 1 (0.5% of the 201 breaks); it was spotted.

A few observations.

• The break-and-run percentage for the streamed matches of this event -- 9½% -- is the lowest I recall ever seeing in the 8-Ball, 9-Ball, or 10-Ball events I have tracked. A similar result -- 10.4% in 125 games -- occurred in the 2013 Mosconi Cup (9-Ball) when the 9-ball was racked on the spot and the break box was about 12 inches wide (centered). [About half of those B&Rs were 9-balls on the break.]

- Matches 3 through 7 (as numbered in Post #1) had a total of 4 B&Rs in 79 games -- 5%.
- A stretch of 30 games across Matches 4, 5, and 6 went without any B&Rs.
- A stretch of 33 games across Matches 6, 7, and 8 went without any B&Rs.

• The successful-break percentage -- 43% -- was the lowest I recall in a 10-Ball event, and beaten (downward) only by the 33% in that 2013 Mosconi Cup and by a 37% figure in one of Darren Appleton's 8-Ball events, in which the streaming table had 4" corner pockets and players had to break from within one diamond of either side rail.

- The last 11 breaks of the Orcollo/Gomez match in this event were all dry, 7 by Orcollo and 4 by Gomez.
- Orcollo started his next match (vs. Pagulayan) with 4 more dry breaks, for a personal string of 11 dry breaks in a row.

Thanks for the stats.

Any links to the brackets or can you name the fargo 800+ players? I see Fedor Gorst and??

Was the cloth worn a bit?

Thanx, AtLarge
Yes, I think someone said on stream that it was installed in May, but I'm not sure of that. They also said that it had been raining a lot there, so it may have been humid in the room. So -- tight pockets, worn cloth, humid conditions.

There were 3 800+ entrants (Orcollo, Gorst, and Pagulayan), 3 in the 790's (De Luna, Gomez, and Kiamco), and 2 in the 780's (Morra, Deuel). Several other high-level players (SVB, Woodward, Bergman, Alshaheen, Bustamante) were expected but did not enter for one reason or another.

Bracket: https://digitalpool.com/tournaments/aramithsimonis-pro-classic-2021-pro-10-ball/bracket

The two Pagulayan/DeLuna matches averaged 8.9 and 9.0 minutes per game (including racking and timeouts). The other 9 matches, in total, averaged 6.1 minutes per game.

This table was playing tough. Not many break and runs

The Diamond 9-foot table with 4 5/16" corner pockets was playing tight. Wood rack made breaks much more random than using a template.

This is the same table Alex Pagulayan and Fedor Gorst are playing their big 10 Ball action match on starting Tuesday.

This has to be a big advantage for Alex long moving type games
