Arcos II or Tournament Black

The Blacks use a better formula and are a higher grade ball from Aramith when compared to the Predator Arcos II by Aramith.
This is absolutely true "on paper", but in real world play, if they were all colored and marked exactly the same, I honestly do not believe I could tell the difference between Super Aramith Pro, Centennial, Tournament, or Arcos II. On a HOME table, I do not believe any of these top tier sets performs with enough difference to even be discernable by a professional player. They are all fantastic. I would suggest anyone in the market should choose among these and pick the set they like the most aesthetically. I own them all, play them all, and really like them all. The only possibility for me, and I would actually like to be able to test this, is that I DO believe the Arcos II set SOUNDs different on break and hard strike than any of my other sets, but maybe that's just my imagination.

I can't stand all these colour changes, so stupid. My personal favorite is the Aramith Tournament TV Pro Cup Pool Ball Set

The Aramith Tournament set I could tell apart from any set I have used so far. I have Tournaments, Centennials, and Cyclops, they Tournaments stay nicer looking by far between pool ball cleanings, if they all looked identical Im pretty sure I could identify the Tournaments.

I rotate between Dynasphere Tungsten > Aramith Premium > Predator ACROS II and have not noticed any differences in how they actually play; balls still move the same way and get potted all the same. The ARCOS seems to pick up pocket marks from the leather less frequently than the other sets do and the cue ball seems to stay a bit cleaner than my Aramith measles ball.

I’ve got an older measle ball, Tournament TV set measle ball, and just bought an Arcos2 measle ball. The Arcos2 definitely stays cleaner than the other two.

Same here. People here argue a lot about the quality between Tournament and Arcos II. While not scientifically studied, I own and play Arcos II, Tournament and Centennial sets. The Arcos II set stays clean longer and cleans up more easily than any other set I play or have ever owned.

the blacks are duramith which are said to leave fewer burn marks. you won't notice any difference in how they play.
