Photo's pleaseNot mentioning the dealer/installer. Just looking to get things straightened out. The cloth on the Diamonds are glued not stapled. Special glue and proper technique is required. The Diamond Professional gets assembled on location and it needs a factory trained mech to handle it. I bought the table knowing a funky job is very possible but was willing to have someone with experience re-do after delivery and pay out of pocket. That's where I'm at now. The V cuts are not suppose to be visible inside the pockets.... the cloth is loose where it wraps around the slate wall in the pocket...and a loose area.
The dealer is sending out a different mech to look/remedy. He was not available when table was delivered. We'll see how it goes. But if RKC was close I'd pay him a premium to handle the job. And if I have to wait for him I'll still make it worth his time
Nowhere near acceptable. You've gotten all the bad rolls when it comes to tables. I hope it gets sorted soon. The bed is not bad aside from the loose section… table is playable until it gets serviced
It’ll get worked out. The table is playable until it gets done properly.Nowhere near acceptable. You've gotten all the bad rolls when it comes to tables. I hope it gets sorted soon.
I’m patient so it’ll work out. Ditto to your post. Sadly most pool table buyers are not educated buyers and do not know the difference as to what they received. That applies to my GC4 I bought in 1998. Pockets were not precise. One was 5”. The other less. Slight roll. Over tightened castings. I had no idea what a tournament grade set up was. The installers customers do not have a standard therefore the workmanship never improves. I commend those that become the masters of the trade. But there is not enough of them.Doing tables is tough work, and the pay is not great. It takes a good amount of time and skill to do things right, and anyone can claim to be able to do the job. You really have to enjoy what you do, and have the desire to do what you can to make pool better by making each table you work on as good as it can be. Sadly, not many I've met have that attitude. Best of luck with the new mechanic, I hope they sort it for you.
Hi,... The perfect 1p table with the senior citizen grey Simonis is in the works.
A table/cloth assembled properly. A table that can be played on with no complaints. 4.5 corners. I’ll back up a little and say no table is perfect but if it’s close enough it’s perfect. I’d like to hear what others consider a perfect table. There are a lot of excellent/professional installers and do not want to discredit any of them…. but will say a table done by RKC or Mark will be a perfect set up and that'll set the standard for a perfect table, Is that fair to say.Hi,
I would like to know what you consider the perfect 1Pocket table.
The perfect 1 pocket table to me would be an Anniversary with 4 1/4" pockets and RKC or Perfect Pocketz rubbed on rails.Hi,
