Which cushions to buy for Olhausen Champ Pro

I have an Olhausen 9’ Champ Pro and am wanting to change my Accu Fast cushions to Artemis. I play league and tournaments on Diamonds and want my cushions to be more lively, like the Diamond rails. I have heard people say that Artemis is what I need. I know my rail profile is K66 and they have Artemis K66 that should fit it. I was talking to a mechanic today and he said that I needed to get the Artemis Intercontinental K66 which is a K55 cushion and he would change my rail profile for them. The Intercontinental is quite a bit more expensive than the regular K66 Artemis. My question is what is the difference between the K66 Artemis, which has a k66 profile and the Artemis Intercontinental K66, which has a k55 rail profile? I really don’t want to change my rail profile. What do you guys think I need to do to get my old table playing more Diamond like?

I know the pockets won’t be the same but I’d like the rails to be closer. I’m happy with my pockets now. I just want my cushions to be more lively.

Understood. I'm just saying you may be chasing something that cannot be obtained never mind the cost involved. Artemis rubber isn't cheap. You're probably looking at $600-$700 for materials (K66) and labor and there's a fair chance you may not get what you're expecting. The Artemis K66 profile may play nothing like the Intercontinental No 66 (K55).

Real talk. Good response. I have a feeling the only thing Artemis Continental will be useful for in the future: Diamond tables for One Pocket. Its the only commercial pool table that the cushion has a belly..... I wont go into all that stuff, but, at the end of the day, that olhausen is probably at its prime, level up if you want better. Good luck

How a cushion plays has a lot to do with height of the nose and rail thickness. The thickness of the rail affects the angle that the back side of the cushion is on to maintain proper nose height. In other words the angle of the sub-rail has a huge effect on how the same cushion will play on different tables but you cant change that angle much without affecting nose height. I think that's how all of that stuff works anyhow.
