The butt is super thick. Heavy cue. Has that old school vibe that I love and it plays great. Figured I couldn’t go wrong for what the guy was asking.Rich cue "Zebra" model. Nice basic vintage players, please let me know if you're selling it

He was thinking possibly an old Brunswick or Viking. I was thinking possibly an old Mali.
If it is a Rich Cue, then it’s worth going back and getting the original shaft too then, lol. The guy I got it from is a dealer. The original shaft was in rough shape, so he let me go through his stock of old shafts and pick one out I liked. I figured if it was some generic no name cue it wouldn’t matter. I don’t plan on selling it, but it’d still be nice to have the original shaft. It's a Rich from when they were using brass 5/16-14
I mean, the Zebra sells for $100. It's not going to change much with it without an original shaftIf it is a Rich Cue, then it’s worth going back and getting the original shaft too then, lol. Nor that wrap. Someone worked on it, but it's still a Zebra. The low-grade zebrawood and flat pin nail this one to the wallI don’t recall seeing a Rich with that style of buttcap and weight bolt.
Well, I picked it up for $40. I’m still here, so I went ahead and grabbed the original shaft too. Like I said I don’t plan to sell it, but if it’s actually made by someone then, to me, it’s worth getting the original shaft and having it cleaned up. Thanks for the info!I mean, the Zebra sells for $100. It's not going to change much with it without an original shaft

I was thinking that. For as old as the joint and wood is, the wrap and butt cap look way too new. Whoever rewrapped it did a pretty good job though. Nice and smooth.Nor that wrap. Someone worked on it, but it's still a Zebra. The low-grade zebrawood and flat pin nail this one to the wall
You do, read aboveSend pictures to Tascarella.
I’ve gotta know about this one.
I don’t think I’ve really seen zebra wood. If I did I didn’t know. The cue actually looks pretty nice on the other side. I accidentally took that full length pic from the worst angle I could, lol. You can kind of see more of the figure in the pic I took of the joint.Yes it is low grade Zebra wood for sure - top grade Zebra wood is the nuts on a pol cue!
I’m glad I decided to pick up the original shaft too. Even if I never use it, nice to keep it with the butt.Nice cue from a bygone era of known cue makers- they are great cues to just keep the tradition alive IMO- something magical about 60s/70s cues from known makers.
