What size vacumn cleaner for a Diamond pool table? Can it have too much suction?

I am going to the store to buy the right size vacumn. Maybe someone can tell me the right one.
I use a 5hp shop vac with a circular duster attachment. I really like the circular attachment I can clean the top of the rails, the inside of the rails and the rest of the table with it. I would highly recommend buying some taom V10 you will need to vacuum much less.

Agree about the Taom V10 but you've likely awakened the Taom chalk haters.

The only haters are those that have not tried it imo. I have used mine for several months now and barely put a dent in it. Stuff is legit and very clean. I am converted fully lol.

I suspect most folks are happy with their chalk. I have been using Masters since the early 80s and it functions perfectly fine for me as long as I execute the shot correctly. No chalk issues on the tables as long as it is applied properly.

Masters plays fine I got a brick of the stuff. It's dirty though. I started to notice chalk build up in ball return system and had to consistently wipe the cue ball down. Cloth felt gritty after a few sessions had to vacuum once a week or so. V10 I can go several weeks without vacuuming and my cue ball stays clean rack after rack. It's well worth the coin due to how much cleaner it is if you own a table in my opinion.

mini sidetrack so pm me if you want
wasnt there some concern with v10 chalk about particles getting into your lungs?

At one time there was a video going around. They put a ball in each pocket and people bet. The last ball on the table got the dough.
The way i've seen it people buy a ball and its then frozen to a spot on the rail. First ball that the machine knocks in wins. Takes longer. i've seen stupid money bet on this. Crazy.

If you are buying a vacuum for JUST the table, then this is overkill but if you are buying for home use in general, there is no substitute for a Miele. Their machine has multiple suction settings including a setting for blinds, upholstery, curtains, and more. I have had one for 24 years and it is still as good as new. I didn't own a pool table when I bought it, but if I had, this would have been yet another great reason to buy a Miele.

You can find better pricing, but here is a link to the model most close to mine...

That's what I use. I have two, a cannister and an upright.

My housekeeper asked me where to get one after using the cannister (C3) for a while. She really wanted one, at least until I told her the price...

There can never be too much suction, as long as it doesn't hurt.

The seams, you don't want to destroy them.

Don't forget the pockets and rails.

Are you saying that US pool tables never get ironed?

No, the cloth on most pool tables is very different from snooker or English 8 ball cloth and the nappy stuff that is found on lower quality setups in bars barely gets cleaned never mind any other upkeep. The worsted wool cloth like Simonis is not really directional or have fibers that stick out that need to be oriented. Probably most players in US and other countries where snooker is not common don't even know what the "proper" cloth is on those tables or the differences.
