Cuetec cynergy butt collar issue/loose

Hi - my cuetec cynergy SVB cue has a loose (butt) collar. It doesnt seem to affect the shotmaking (at least not to my n00b self), but you can feel the vibration/noise when you lay the cue down vertically, say, from 3-4 in. high. Wanted to check here if this is a known issue/anomaly/can happen to any cue of any brand, before possibly sending it back to the dealer to fix under warranty (covered, I'd assume).

Or if there is a home remedy so I dont have to live without a cue for a week or so.

Best rule of thumb.
Don't play with what you have no experience on.
ESPECIALLY,
If there's a possible warranty!

Thanks. Do you have any opinion/advise on whether I can use any other butt from a cheap Cuetec cue, while I send this current one to be serviced/repaired?

Does the collar actually twist/move at all? If not, remove the bumper and check the tightness of the weight bolt. If the collar DOES move, and there is a warrantee, then go thru that process
There is no weight bolt at all. Removed them. And yeah, the collar jiggles, if you will. Going to drop some more $ to get a cheap cuetec today to get a butt while I send this one back to seybert's. Should have stuck with a more popular joint model I guess :-(

The type of joint itself has nothing to do with your issue. It can happen to any cue. Seybert's are great to deal with.
But it actually does. Quite a few people around here have experienced the same thing with their SVB cuetec’s. They aren’t willing to fork over the $$ to fix it though. Shipping to get it fixed costs more than the glue to fix it.

Huh, interesting. Are there any vids on how to do that? I just bought an Avid cue yesterday and using that butt for now. Actually feels much better than the OG. Let's see.

How to do what? Unscrew a joint collar that has come loose and gets reglued? If someone needs a video for that, they are unqualified to do that repair.

It's a fairly common problem, Lucasi has the same issue on som their cues.
If it's under warranty, send it back. If you want to fix it. Mask off the buttsleeve and buttcap and use a water thin CA with one of those long nozzles so you can apply with precision. Wipe off any excess immediately.
