Dynasphere bronze first impressions vs aramith

I just weighed 4 sets of the Bronze Dynaspheres and all 64 of them were ± one gram.
Centennial balls are the worst for consistent size and weights. I’ve probably weighed a dozen sets, probably all old pool hall sets, and those ball sets are horrible.

You're the main reason I tried these out. I've purchased more than a dozen sets (for myself, friends, and customers) now. :ROFLMAO:

Loved your chart. One of the main reasons I bought my bronze set. How is the ball polisher coming?

It's moving along. The lid is in final prime, ready for paint, laminate is installed and the metal trim pieces for the edges are rough cut. It's almost there but a new job has eaten up most of my free time so I'm limping to the finish line. I hope to finish it soon.

Cant wait to see it!
Hope you are well and kicking ass at the new job!

P.s. I think with all the great reviews, its time I bought a couple sets of these! One to try out and others for my customers:)

I have had issues getting tight 8 ball racks with three different aramith sets, two of which are the highest priced duramith sets. Using the same template rack I didn't have this issue with the dynaspheres. I don't have a scale to weigh balls but a few have posted their weights and the deviation is high. Dynasphere seems to be better in both how concentric they are and in weight.

Are you using the cheap copy template rack that is the black plastic? I have had a lot of issues with those. I have not had any issues with the Aramith sets being out of spec unless they were quite a few years old, no issues with racking them unless it was a bad rack or a bad table racking area where the balls were pounded in or just worn cloth.

Magic rack.

Magic rack.

Try the AccuRack or the turtle one from Mezz. Magic Rack I have had some issues with some years of make, and also you need to make sure you are facing it the correct way. I have seen a lot of players just orient them whichever way but the cut outs don't move the balls to the right positions if faced incorrectly.

I have played with the accurack and don't like it as much. The material feels thicker and if it rolls up for whatever reason it can be pain to flatten it out. I can wipe down the magic racks with alcohol also. I do that every month or so. The magic rack does need to have a mark indicating top side this is a design flaw. I agree with you it can be hard to tell. I make sure to go off the lettering to make sure I am topside up.

It's not just the top or bottom side, it's the orientation, especially on the full 15 ball rack. They only go in one direction properly due to the angles of the cutouts. One of the corners is the front, if some other corner gets put on the spot, there are balls in the rack that will end up getting pushed in the wrong direction.
