Felt colors

I got to like the grey that matchroom is using. I like the blue over green
I played on a gray table in the 80’s in Panama City, I liked it. I’m sure I have since then. I just remember that one for some reason.

I’d rather play on gray than red or tourney blue 8 days a week.

Purely sentimental, but my favorite is green.

I've played on all sorts of cloth colors and gray along with beige (I think) was very easy on the eyes in long grinding sessions.

I personally know very few people that have grinded out a match long enough to where the cloth color comes into play...., but it is a thing.

I went into a fabric store once, and said: "Hey, can I get felt here"? And the woman behind the counter said: "Sure big guy, step out back".

If I was an owner I would agree, even if it's horrible for the "players" but gets more cash in, it's "good". But as a player, I stay away from those places. It also has a drawback of teaching the bangers nothing about the real world of the sport past the "it looks cool" factor and we just end up with more people dumping drinks on the cloth and arguing over made up rules as to how many "walls" the cueball needs to hit if you miss all the other balls for it not to be a foul.
Walls🤣🤣 I can't even remember the last time I heard that!
