Now that the Predator Canadian Event is over...what do you think?

You can see all of those matches at the World Billiard TV YouTube Channel by the way.

I am asking for your comments:

Did you watch it? Do you plan on watching it on YouTube a little a time so you can forward through the commercials?
Did you like the format, the level of play, the venue and what do you think could have been done better.

Also, what would you like to see happen in the World of Pool?

I watched the live streams of the women tourney in Canada, not all of them but a lot of them (I work). I have watched the men Predator tourneys as well. I enjoy watching the live streams. The venue there in Canada for the women looked nice from what I could see on the stream. I will be watching the matches on the YouTube channel (I pay for commercial free). I am thankful to be able to watch the live streams.

Watched men and women. Pay for no commercials (I watch more YouTube than anything else).
Good cameras and equipment.
Predators marketing blitzkrieg isn't my favorite.
Shoot-outs are fun( the pressure put on each shot) although I wouldn't want every "tour" to adopt it, having one that does it ain't bad.
Glad to see players have any opportunities to get paid and elevate their brand.
I don't have anything to improve, they do a fine job for what they want to put out.

Personally don’t care for shoot outs,

Pretty neat when you can win more games and lose.

I suppose they all know this before hand though

Seems like a soccer thing to me

Just trying to create drama

Doubt I’ll watch much of it

Much prefer accu stats videos

It was a good stream. Nice to see that the main camera and the overhead camera had matching colors. It's common to see the main camera with not-so-great color matching, and the other one with poor color matching, and makes it impossible to distinguish the 3 and 5, and if the pink 4-ball is in play, the 3,4,and 5 all look the same.

Good job I'd say.

I watched a lot of the women's tournament and very much enjoyed it. As other have stated, not a real fan of the "shoot outs", but not terrible either.

Did you watch it?
Only a few minutes

If the match ups interest me. I'll usually take the time to watch either Allison if the opponent is solid
Did you like the format
Like multiple short sets, but would prefer a re-lag for a third set rather than shootout.
the level of play,
Wasn't impressed with the very short bit I've seen. That said, I watched that short bit because of the announced bad play.
what do you think could have been done better.
Ditch shootout

I already like the way it's trending (credit to Matchroom), so I wouldn't want to put too many spoons in the pot right now

I'm a little slow. I was saying that in response to other predator events, not just Toronto.
<<<<Not very bright
Men's event...? Thought that was cancelled...?

Replying to myself I know.

If they're fixated on wanting to do something different for a decider. How about a re-lag in third but instead of a set or shootout, do an alternate break, 2 ahead race.

I'm not a fan of the format, the commentary quality remains poor, and the majority of the match-ups were trash... They couldn't fill a 64 payer field - they tried though, with some sub 600 Fargo rate chum just to add bodies, but there were still only 44 participants. The the entire thing feels like a low-rent Predator infomercial.

Hate the shootout. A much simpler and time sensitive thing could be a one rack shootout. Winner of the first set can decide to break or pass. Quick and done without going to "penalty kicks".

To be fair, the commentators had some pretty bad matches to commentate on…..impossible task…unless you’re Groucho.

I credit the lack of players to the fact that Canada is tough to deal with if you catch covid up there. I wouldn't have gone there on an
airline that was mask optional for anyone's money. Covid regulations and covid itself is going to be a problem for anything done in the
public for a long time.

Some of the matches were live, on FTF television. I watched Allison play some. But when it got down to the shootout, I turned it off. Not out of protest, but rather, it just doesn't hold my interest.

In general, sometimes I watch pool a little, and other times, I don't (it's on FTF pretty much all day, on Mondays). Depends on my mood, who is playing, and what game they are playing. :)
