I like the new break rules, "Sanne" Azar won 3 games at the tournament, and he told me he also likes it, I see at my poolroom that many regulars has adopted this new break rule already when they play friendly games.I watched the whole match this morning. The new break makes it hard to come back but yet in this match Azar did.
Nothing was easy. I like it very much.
I've only watch a bit from the Euro Open but I saw dry breaks and difficult layouts, I think it's good that it's a bit harder top run away with a match. We'll see if they figure this out. Even so, I doubt they can achieve the reliability they had with 1 on the spot and breaking from the rail. Here is a good match to discuss the new break from. So, what do you think vs. the old break?

Watching matches is a (viewership game) at some point someone is sponsoring the camera work, recording and live part of the performance and someone has to want to watch it. Is that affected by the length of the match? It's entertaining for those who like watching 2 plus hours of Pool but I prefer the match not go over 1. 50 hours in some regards. The play between these two is awesome. Aranus sure has come a long way. I did about half of it today and will start the other half in the morning. So far there's been no 4 packs, but each player has had 3 or more break and runs.in order to appreciate the new format, we might as well also peek at what we ultimately want to avoid.
I think packages should be the exception not the rule. With winner breaks, a race needs to be about twice as long as the biggest package for it to be deciding who is the better player, not who had the better set. With alternate break, I see a lot of matches that come down to "breaking serve once". The matches I watched from the Euro Open had both players getting several chances at the table, I didn't feel like one missed shot cost the entire match. So far there's been no 4 packs
AtLarge hasn’t posted stats for the full event. But he did post them for that match.Watching matches is a (viewership game) at some point someone is sponsoring the camera work, recording and live part of the performance and someone has to want to watch it. It was alternate break. It was 7 to 7 and Aranas ran out to make it 7 to 8 then Ko broke and ran to tie it 8 to 8.
I thought this was winner break? Why did Ko get to break after Aranus ran out? because he ran out
and then he (Ko) broke? wtf
