The pros have to follow the money. The cost of living and their lifestyle demand it, till it becomes a true recognized sport. Plus again, there's no carpet on the floor.

I hear what you are saying about population base. However, I lived in Battle Creek years ago for a brief time period- it is a serious pool town- many great players would pass through to play at The Billiard Cafe run by pro Jeremy Goodwyn

Those stands in the background are permanent. The few seats near the tv table are mostly full.

Yapp, a young player using a Mezz wood shaft, vs. Robbie Capito, young player using a Predator (Vantage) wood shaft.
It's nice to see that not ALL young players need carbon fiber shafts lol.
Again, I have nothing against cf shafts (I break with one), just enjoy pointing out that wood shafts work well too!
Some guy named Joshua Filler uses a wood shaft--- word on the street is he's pretty good:cool:
PS-- I play a bit of road pool now and then and I can tell you flat out that I'm much more leary playing strangers that use wood than cf lol.
