Thanks for the info, spartan. Pretty short races in Stage 1, eh. Good to see SVB back.

And don't forget the US Pro Billiard Series event in Puerto Rico starting the day after tomorrow. The cast of characters is pretty much the same, except without SVB. Also a pro women's event there.

Shaun Oglesby from Australia, he beat some great players here to win a spot.
Hoping he shows his recent form and causes a few surprises.

problematic. my opinion, based on having watched loads euro 8-ball, is that at this level they need either super tight tables or longer races. this may end up being a lagging contest

good thing that the predator tables are funky and that puerto rico is humid

Is the Puerto Rico Open, which is occurring right before this, going to be streamed, as well?

Need to take note of how long some of the Europeans have been on the road.

Some of the elite have played in each of:

Sandcastle Open
US Open 9-ball
Ohio Open 10-ball
American 14.1
International 10-ball
International 9-ball

and will play:

Puerto Rican Open
World 8-ball
Mosconi Cup

It's a road trip of over three months for some of these guys. That's a high level of commitment to one's trade.

SVB, Sky and Lee Van are the 3x800+playing in World 8 Ball but not in Puerto Rico 10 Ball Open

I count 18 pool events in 2022 with a 1st prize of $20K or more.
THE BIG THREE-- 8-Ball, 9-Ball, and 10-Ball World Championships--top the list at $60K

I left DCC "all around" off because it's not really an event. Anything missing?

I'd suggest a more accurate comparison would be the total prize fund, not just first. Mind you, I don't have the time or inclination to make a comparison, so this is just one person's opinion.

Many of the US Pro Billiards Events pay high for first, but if you don't finish in the top 3-4, you can't even break even on entry fee and travel costs. Also the total prize fund for the MOSCONI CUP is fairly substantial.

Nice list.
You missed out your own Fargorate Ohio Open $25K to winner LOL
Also I think you mean Predator Germany Open rather than Predator Germany Women’s Open

That's funny....

Actually I DO mean the Predator Germany Woman's Open --It was a bit over $20,000 to Kelly Fisher
And then I need to ADD the Predator Germany Open --just over $20,000 to Dimitris Loukatos

Here is the updated list
