What current Cuebuilders Cues will be

Gotta agree with Black Boar. Tony's cues are just really hard to find even now.

you could find alot of them for $15,000 each, I promis you that if you offered $15K for BB's in the buy/sell section you would have a pile of them in a week, i'm not knocking them but they arnt worth 15K each on average, If you did the same offer for Szams or Bushkas you would find less of them.

I believe Gus will always be the King of all cuemakers, that being said who do I believe will be the Szamboti's of tomorrow 10to 20 years or more.....

Well the master cuemakers for our generation so to speak are
Dennis Searing, Barry Szamboti, and Joel Hercek, the execution, demand, the wait time to get one and the prices paid are a reflection on their futures....actually their futures are here now. These are the absolute premium cuemakers. These are must have cues.

The next in line are John Showman,James White,Tony Scianella, I mean talk about talent these three have it and I believe there workmanship will continue to reach new levels.

I can say without reservation Ernie Guiterrez is the greatest living cuemaker today that builds players cues to the most beautiful and executed high end cues in the world. The only thing that would affect the appreciative Szamboti sought after cues of the future is the large number of cues that Ernie has made. It may take I don't know how many years for the cues to become rare to semi-rare once Ernie retires.

Bob Manzino cues are currently prized by collectors and will be worth even more in the future. Next to Ernie, Bob's detail, execution, and design is the best in the world by far bar none.

In fact Gus and Ernie are the greatest cuemakers ever. That statement does not diminish the great talents of Frank Paradise,Jerry Franklin,Dave Kersenbrock,Eugene Balner,George Balabushka etc.

Tad Kohara cues will be sought after.

There are about maybe 15 to 20 living cuemakers that I like their workmanship and designs, the cuemakers I listed above are the cream of the crop.

I base my opinions and observations in the inspection of cues over the last 25 years or so and how the market place has responded to these cuemakers in the past and currently.

i agree, to put it into perspective I was speaking to Barry Szam a week ago and he said that Ernie is the greatest cue maker alive, how strong is that? I like Barrys cues a bit better because to me they play better but its a close call, but ernie's work with silver etc is the best in the world.

You would probably get all of the 20 year old Black Boar 4 pt cues-- But you wouldn't get many of his newer 8 point cues.

I can agree with the Samsara's. I guess that Nitti, Blackcreek, Bludworth, Richard Black, Mc Worter, Rauenzahn, aren't even in the runnning???

Believe it or not, the Southwest waiting list is over 9 years long! True. Hercek is about 4 years... ridiculous.

Bob Runde, Tim Scruggs

I have played with both makers cues. Am currently playing with a one of a kind Scruggs they made for me back in 1995. Bob Runde is still one of the best, most under rated cuemakers alive at this time. He was the main reason Schon cues got to the point they did and they are still riding on what he built them up to be. His current cues are outstanding and if you are able to get one, do so. He won't be around forever and is making fewer and fewer cues each year. Tim's cues don't need me to try and convince anyone about how good they are, they speak for themselves.

I emailed Joel earlier this year to check on my status. He said his wait is in the 8-10 year range. I'm just a little over 2 years away :)
