Is this still made? It is a great tool. You can adjust it so you never hit your ferrule.

I've been using a small Japanese Kiradashi knife to trim the sides. I tape off the ferrule and then hit it. This thing is SHARP as fk and does a great job. https://www.amazon.com/Right-Carvin...ocphy=9026561&hvtargid=pla-308543204131&psc=1

I burnish my tips on the bed cloth that is under the rail. Just quickly rub the tip under under the rail while rotating it. Ten seconds once a week works great.

Sadly, they are hard to find these days!

This is what I have carried for years except for the file. It's pretty new. The Porper Mini Grazer and the Burnisher should be used with care.

Twists them right off.
If the tip is not round ,it binds as you turn it in the tube.

That's why I wet the side of the tip so there is less friction. It's not just the shape of it, if you twist funny it will pop off.
There is a newer chinese made tool that is really good, the burnisher works on all size tips and the shaper is made of a very good cutting material. From all the years I have used these types of things, this is my favorite.
