Yeah tried that. Unfortunately when you try and order one they email you and tell you they wont have any til summer.Manning is showing these.
Order I guess. The nozzle you have… rubber flap shot or the gauze worn out?Yeah tried that. Unfortunately when you try and order one they email you and tell you they wont have any til summer.![]()
The rubber flap ripped and no longer covers the cloth pad during the polish cycle. A couple of drops of the cleaner before running is does the trick, but if people get carried away with it, the balls don't get cleaned as well. The ballstar system is really great if it's working properly!Order I guess. The nozzle you have… rubber flap shot or the gauze worn out?
Can the balls be sprayed with Brillianize or the BallStar cleaner before putting into the BallStar machine. Will that work? I do that with the Diamond. The balls are in a black ball tray and get a light spray before going into the machine.
Is the only difference the hole or are the dimensions not the same? The rubber flap ripped and no longer covers the cloth pad during the polish cycle. That’s good news.I haven't tried putting the new style pads in the old machine, but they don't appear to be shaped the same. I found some on Kozoom, and ordered 4 of them, just got a shipping confirmation today, and I have my fingers crossed that they will arrive safely from France.
Yesterday it said they had 9 in stock and today it says 5, so it seems legit.

Hey there!! I'm curious which cleaning solution you guys recommend...maybe you've experimented and found something off the shelf that works well. What about pine sol, simple green, windex? Or maybe some meguiars product? Or stink with the recommended cleaner for $35.00?Order I guess. The nozzle you have… rubber flap shot or the gauze worn out?

I only use the green BallStar solution with this machine. You say it's unsafe ... Did the previous owner tamper with it?Hey there!! FYI - I'm down the Ballstar rabbit hole after fixing my old style machine. See link below.
I had to change the fuse holder. So I tore it apart and became very familiar with the machine. One thing I did not like is the case of the machine is not grounded. They actually cut the ground wire off of the 3 conductor cord. I connected a ground to the case when I put it back together.
I've never used this machine correctly. I got it from a guy who used aramith ball cleaner and that's what I continued to do for a long time (at least 15 years). I just threw the balls in, dabbed a few drips of aramith cleaner on each ball and let it rip. Everything was totally caked with wax. I got it all cleaned up in my ultrasonic cleaner and hand scrubbing.
Now I want top use it correctly and so I need a new nozzle pad and the polishing pad. I also need the correct cleaner.
BallStar Optima BCM201 Ball Cleaner..............NOT ELECTRICALLY SAFE
I've had this Ballstar cleaner for 15 plus years. I pulled it out the other day and noticed the red portion of the fuse holder was missing. So I had to tear it apart to change out the old fuse holder. What I noticed was "shocking". There was not a case ground for the METAL cleaner. In fact...forums.azbilliards.com
Well, I say any machine that has a metal case and operates on 120VAC should have an equipment ground. And since they use a three conductor cord with a ground prong why not bond the case to ground?I only use the green BallStar solution with this machine. You say it's unsafe ... Did the previous owner tamper with it?
It's possible but I highly doubt the previous owner tampered with it. There is no sign it was ever grounded because I had to drill and tap a hole right next the where the power cord penetrates the case on the bottom. You can see the green wire in my photos. They cut the ground wire off flush at the outer jacket of the cord. What I did was cut off about 4 inches of the original cord because the strain relief had smashed and deformed the cord. Then I stripped off about 3 inches of the outer jacket exposing the black, white and green wires. then I re-terminated everything nice and clean.I only use the green BallStar solution with this machine.
