These options have been around for quite some time (maybe with the exception of CPBA?). The difference now, is that Simonis is in short supply, making the alternatives more widely known.Champ Tour 30/30, Andy, CPBA and Gorina Basalt are all good options that install and play well.
I think it is nice to see options growing in cloth and tables. I think it means pool is growing??

They all have, but, people were not open to the idea that they were comparable to the "norm" aka Simonis. I am back using Tour 30/30 and really happy. Champ Blue is very close to Tour Blue. I have been selling CPBA for 3-4 years now, it is a great alternative for the $$. The stretch index is half of simonis and it wears very nicely. Have had it on 2 rooms of bar boxes and it has held up awesome. These options have been around for quite some time (maybe with the exception of CPBA?). I can't say that any of the options are any better than one another, but I can say that there is some inconsistency in the current Simonis product. I'm sure that it will be corrected soon enough.
I've played on that cloth. About 10 years ago. I remember it being very fast. I thought they stopped making it?In Europe, Z9 cloth made in Germany is very popular and more durable than Simonis. Maybe have a look.

I found some online, but, shipping and tax will likely not be realistic. There are plenty of good brands here in the good ole USAI've played on that cloth. About 10 years ago. I remember it being very fast. I thought they stopped making it?
Yes, it is a downscaled version of Championship 30/30 made for Brunswick by Championship. Its almost as good, just not 24oz. They have "napped" cloth made for them by Champ as well.Yeah I just looked. It's very pricy. Anybody ever use brunswick cloth?
Of course you can get tournament blue. What your choice of these cloths. Only using their upper end basalt. CPBA, Championship tour or Gorina. Didn’t mention Simonis cause I know it’s great and you can’t get any tournament blue. Thanks
Simonis direct only sells to dealers. Varner is out of stock and I know because I just logged into my account and "out of stock" for every size.Of course you can get tournament blue.
Contact Simonis NA (Libertyville IL) or Nick Varner if SIMONIS is backed up.
I’ve visited the SIMONIS factory in Vervier, Belgium.
They let me film some of the weaving and then go upstairs where there are light boards and a crew of women who go through each inch of every bolt of cloth and remove, by hand, any errant threads, and then replace and repair by hand finer more perfect thread.
They are meticulous.
Give them a call, ask for Felice.Simonis direct only sells to dealers. Varner is out of stock and I know because I just logged into my account and "out of stock" for every size.

I am a dealer and could not get any from felice.... Seyberts is out, heck, even Diamond is having trouble keeping it on hand. I switched to Championdship Tour 30/30 and very happy with Champ BlueGive them a call, ask for Felice.
I don’t think Felice will turn you away.
I think that would be an excellent choice given that you are setting it up for golf and not real snooker. Snooker on a 5x10 american snooker table is a bastardized version of snooker. Fun regardless! Same reason I went with the 760 as I needed the speed to get around the table. It will play fast regardless using pool balls but from experience with my old 5x10 pool table with t-tails played pretty slow. The anniversary rails are pretty lively excluding around the bends.I'm preparing to cover my Brunswick 6 legged Arcade Snooker Table with some kind of cloth... (it will be setup for Playing Golf with Pool Balls), I'm thinking Gorina M, because that's what they used to have at my Pool Room in Tulsa, McGoos. I liked the way it played & the speed. Anybody have any opinions....?
has anyone tried Proline? If so for any length of time to critique the durability or how it plays?Yes, it is a downscaled version of Championship 30/30 made for Brunswick by Championship. Its almost as good, just not 24oz. They have "napped" cloth made for them by Champ as well.

Which makes you a better player--since more people have problems with delicacy than with power. The 760 plays faster than the 860.
