I can get a new magazine for that price. Actually I do like reading older magazines, it's an interesting way to look at history.

you could buy a new mag, but it wouldn't be a 70 year-old classic mag
and an example of literary mainstay walter tevis' first published sale
and precursor to one of the most famous pool tales told
12-13 bucks ain't bad for that, I don't think!
