How do these diamond tables play so badly? vid

From Badboys Texas State Championships. Blue label 7ft Diamonds. Incredibly short rails even at slow speeds. Cue ball doesn't slow down much. I assume rails were replaced or something wrong with cloth install? Never seen anything like it on a Diamond

To be clear... I love Diamond tables! Trying to figure out how they are off

Standard nose height is 1.406" which is 62.5% of a standard 2 1/4" ball. Diamond tables are typically 1.453".

To explain why it is that you may not like the way that Diamond tables play:
Diamond tables require a higher nose height because they use Artemis cushions, installed upside-down. Installing the cushion with the rounded surface facing down creates a lower contact point on the ball, than if the flat side of the cushion were facing down. This creates inconsistency in rebound speed, dependent on the speed at which a ball hits the cushion. This is also why Diamond tables tend to bank short.

The artemis cushion is only installed on their 9' tables. Their 7' table have the diamond brand rubber, with less of nose radius. Both bounce way shorter and way faster than every other table ever made since the beginning of time. Wow, I just can't believe diamond cushions took hold in pool. Every other part of their table is great. The cushions, yuk!!!

thats about how they bank in my area too
people think theyre supposed to play like a valley or something i dunno
 
Its horrible. The rail speed does not fit the bed speed. The way the balls come off the rails seem even faster than a proper heated 3 cushion table. Yet the bed speed is normal.
 
In my opinion Diamond has ruined the pool industry with these tables. Everyone always talking about how great they are. Ever sit and watch people play on them? It’s like putting. Small strokes and slow rolling. Trying to control the cue ball or better yet keep it off the rails. I never get much enjoyment out of playing on them. But, hey they are great! NOT!

I can assure you this is not normal. I've played on many diamonds old and new. Any decent table will kick to the corner pocket from that angle at slow speed or even go long and hit the short rail.
 
People are standing in line for them. Do pros complain about them. I’m not good enough to complain about them. I’d rather have a GC but mainly for its classic appearance. The one piece long rails assure perfect alignment on the Blue Label. I think the 3 rail kick or bank from the corner pocket is way off. As for table speed…Are any 2 tables the same? That’s pool.
 
Video. Looks short to begin with. If the cue struck closer the 2nd diamond it would have been more accurate. Looks a little high where hit on the rail.

Of course. But they play this way straight from the factory too. I think the temperature/humidty affects Diamonds more than other brands. That's why some players (like me) have experienced super fast rails like this in many parts of the country. And some other player will say they play similar to gold crown rails.

Not screwed up man. I've played on them in probably 10 different states. Half of them play exactly like this. Exactly. Brand new from the factory, not some butcher hack jab installer. Some do play more "normal". I think its the temp/humidity has a bigger effect on diamonds than other brands.
 
shot looks a little short… I don’t think it’s the table.
