Anyone bought the aramith 100's?

Yes, I was referring to the limited edition boxed set when stating that roughly $1K was the MSRP price quoted to me from my long time Aramith account rep.
Dude, there not a thousand dollars.

Some flipper is just trying to rip you off.

Well cool to see one out in the wild. I have a few sets of balls and the ones I play with the most are my dynasphere bronze set. I think they are better than any aramith ball for a fraction of the price.

So we're sitting at January 3rd and these have yet to be released in the US.

What happened, how did Aramith screw this up so badly....

Has anyone heard anything?

Who says it is a screw-up? Distribution takes time, especially during the holiday season. Patience.

Your screen name reminded me of my trap shooting days with my pump Nova that probably needs to be oiled again at this point.

Just talked to my sales rep at Simonis today and she thinks they will be getting them within the next month. I have one boxed set on reserve and I believe the boxed limited edition sets have already been sold out. If I remember, I’ll post back on here once I get them in hand.

I had a boxed limited edition set on reserve, the dealer was supposed to get three and then five more of the regular edition.

If they already sold out of the limited's and none of them even reach our shores then that would be a serious screw-up on their part.

I'm curious about what you mean by "boxed set", from what I was told only the limited editions came in the oak box with the Simonis cloth liner. The regular editions are just coming in a standard Aramith cardboard box like their other sets.

Isn't this resin formula to be used on the nxt.gen. Tournaments? These '100' balls are just a commemerative set. I don't see the point in buying a 800dollar set of balls. What's cost on these, 400ish?

Yeah, the resin is their next-gen formulation and the regular edition was supposed to be roughly the same cost as the Black Tourn set.

But until it hits the street who knows anymore...

Those are beautiful ! A bit pricey for my game. I have the dynosphere silver and they are very nice for my level.

Just to let you know, the vitrification layer of a standard ball is tough as hell. Here is a picture of when I drilled almost completely through the ball, and then hit it the thin layer repeatedly with a hammer. It took about 15 blows before it fractured. It is like Kevlar. And the 100 balls have an even thicker layer than this!

By boxed set I meant the oak box. If your dealer says they placed their order for a certain number of boxed sets and you have one reserved, you should be good.

Bumping this back up because the dealer I placed my pre-order with still has not gotten any of the three sets he ordered.

Has anyone seen these in the wild yet, how did Aramith screw this up so badly...

I don't believe the limited edition sets starting at $750 with a "signed certificate of authenticity" and marketed as a "hot collector's item" are going to hold their value when competing against the cost of regular boxed new and used sets.

I'm not worried about value at this point more interested in manufacturer who has turned out to be completely unable to deliver the product that was supposed to represent the finest version of their core product they had ever made.

And now appears to be mostly vaporware...

Fyass me, it's the cheap wood box. If you want to present a crowning achievement, you don't display it in the packing crate.

Agreed, it’s been 2+ months since my Aramith supplier told me they were expecting to receive them within in the next few weeks to fill my order. I may call again today for an update.
