I have had some run ins with JB in the past lol he Can go a little over the top sometimes But I never questioned his ability to make the best cases. quite some years a go I bought a jack justis lite case at the expo. Nothing fancy as I’m not that guy. I loved the look and craftsmanship but there were many things I wished were better. I put a JB interior in it which solved one of the big issues. The shoulder strap hurt. The pockets were a pain to get things out of. Little things. I ended up selling it after I started using butterfly cases and it just sat in a closet for years. it’s the one of The few regrets I have.
I wanted a mason case since I first saw one . I loved the look and how compact it is. I’ve been using a butterfly case for years but was missing the leather case. I was going to buy new but Im not good at waiting and I was being told that the wait would be longer then the web site said so I bought One on the secondary market and I am not disappointed.
It’s litearly the perfect case. The build quality is excellent. Jb interiors are the absolute best but it’s the little things. The shoulder strap is padded which for a skinny guy like me is important. Cases kill my shoulder carrying them around at tournaments. The multiple zippers and A top flat to get into the pocket make it so much more convienent. The magnets used to open and close the case are brilliant and will last forever. Just a perfect case for me and will not ever sell this.
On a last note I hope no one thinks I’m slighting jacks cases may he rest in peace. His cases are timeless and a classic look and his build quality was amazing. Not to mention just one of the nicest guys to talk to. If you have a justis case don’t be an idiot like me . Hold on to it and treasure it. it’s a piece of art

Heres some Pics including my justis. I’m going to spend some time restoring the leather today.

You were correct that the wait on a custom leather JB is likely longer than the website states. Mine took many weeks longer than the nominal 'custom' quote. But it was well worth the wait and the cost. I got exactly the quality and look I wanted, and was pleasantly surprised with both.
I've always wanted one of these 'Mason' style cases.

I've got a Justice case here I've been thinking about seeing if I can get a JB interior for it. I've got 2 4x8 JB Rugged as well.

I considered buying that case. Based on your review, I'll have to keep my eye out for another one. Thanks for posting your thoughts on the case. How will you go about restoring it--in case I need to do that in the future?

Nothing special. It just needed the kiwi brown leather restorer. Wipe it down. Go over the worn areas a couple times

Perfect! This is the case I would use as a template if I were to get a custom made for me. Thanks for posting!

I’m not sure if he’s still making it but he was making them to fit jacks cases lol which at the time pissed him off to no end lol
