Some tournament experience (run ins with both sides of luck)

Your game will reach another level when you make the realization that luck isn't a factor in your success or failure. ;)
It must be in part, no way I'm going to be beating someone of Zhu Xi He calibre again for a long time... but you're right, the right kind of practice brings the right kind of luck when you need it haha

I got super lucky and picked up a 60" Terbrock w 14mm shafts. My hands are huge and those 14s lay in there just right. I wanted a mezz, but couldn't locate what I wanted and this popped up out of the blue. Snatched it B4 the ink dried. Lol.
I was using CP21 before, then Ace 2180 picked up and use CP21 as a spare butt. I live in Asia, so easier to come by. I actually got the CP21 for a steal, otherwise I'd still be using house cues, playing mostly snooker and never have fallen down the pool rabbit hall! So can thank my friend who has temper-tantrums for selling it to me :ROFLMAO:
14mm seems big, but so does the 12.8mm I am currently using, plays beautifully though. Just seems odd sometimes, especially after a few frames of snooker haha - hope the Terbrock serves you well!

Nah... He gave you the opportunities because of how he struck the ball. ...and you managed to capitalize based on your efforts.

Credit needs to be giving. Even if in some cases it's unflattering

Appreciate that. Thanks. Even the easy leaves need to be taken (and I am no stranger to missing them! :ROFLMAO:)
Took a lot away from that experience. Just watching some of these guys play is phenomenal. Waiting for the next tournament!

I played a good player last night in a casual game for a set at 9-ball, and 2 sets of 10-ball. Lost all 3 sets racing to 9 (9-4, 9-3, 9-6). But feel my temperament and ability to watch and learn is getting better. Just watching patterns, selection and speed control when I am not at the table.
I was a little agitated in the first set, I was 4-1 up... missed a pretty easy 9 and my mind hit the wall. But he was pretty nice guy, reminded me as he drew level in that set, it's just a game. That he'd been playing for 30years and was an ex-pro... didn't feel so bad after that. Helped me remind myself that my game wasn't making me look silly, but how you act in the chair and come back to the table certainly can! Enjoyed my night a lot more after that.
Just got added to a couple of groups on WeChat with some monster players, so looking forward to getting a lot more practice in :)
