Waste of money pool items

How about good ideas? I sometimes wonder if a heavy weighted rest with no handle might be handy. retrieving it a bit difficult perhaps. how about something designed to sit half way on a rail? I often see players trying to find a realistic position for the rest when it happens to be located where a rail interferes. Usually It's when making those awkward left or right handed shots.. the opposite of whichever you are.

Can someone sell floor plans for designing a room layout for people with a wide variety if special needs? Problems include, dust free, bed bound, limited limbs, limited control, all the "iron man" problems. What can be replaced or managed better?

Think a pool gaming lab in an advanced hospital for children. They saw the video, now they want to show you their version of the shot. Many kids in hospitals recover faster when highly motivated. Motivation is not easy to manufacture rich people are too lazy or incompetent to improve it as populations change over time. Its like a concentrated camp for registration.

There are many physical, social, emotional, ... problems. Wanting to take a shot and make the shot in front of a crowd is why pool is a historically important American sport.

Do you know any good shooters that hit targets? Most places have people with shaky hands or fail to get into position because they lack creativity with an approach.
 
Can someone sell measuring tape?

I need to measure to the rail and I need a second measurement after that. For bank shots and kicks, the diamond system lesson is good. Todays generation want apps and everything sold on a phone.

The existing measurement tapes are not analog. Can someone turn a sensor into a multi dimensional measuring tool for a billiard table of up 20 colors max? Knowing distances between balls in multirailers should converge, however no data analysis is available.

Players would use their phone as a scanner and learn about pool or use augmented vision or sensory reprogramming for ,,...

Players have no idea how to use analytics to optimize their lifestyle. It should be air force and naval and land analytics. Get the bio med and space forces to check their patterns.


Pool players travel. Itd be surprising if the ghosts converge from a singular point.
 
The problem with using measuring tape is it cant store or anchor on the table. If there was a way to anchor strings on the table, then its low cost selling yarns of fabric.

Yarn anchors or yarn buoys for the pool table. Any sailors here? Use it for target practice or retrieval like fishing for marbles.

For some people its therapy. I call problem solving in math class.

My goal was to merge the game unplayability of Rempe/practice balls and the playability of normal cue balls. Gotta live with the black dot for now but no one who has used it even noticed. We tend to block it out the same way we do with measles.

Too bad the name Cyclops was already trademarked lol

9-ball diamond shaped racks would certainly rank up there on the list. Not only are they not necessary, but most are made too tight to not even allow you enough room to push the balls forward and remove the rack without disturbing the balls.

Also, I can’t believe cone chalk is still available and still requested, as usage of it makes such a mess of the cloth.
 
Imagine if breakshots were a structure used to describe popular health applications.

What problems would the best minds describe with a pool table? Knowing they have to wait, what technology would they use to build a better future?

You didn’t get a chance to watch that stroke from above. I did at DCC from the balcony. He was on a table that was directly below me. I was geeking out on it and didn’t realize that Darren Appleton and his GF sat beside me. When he asked what I was ogling at, I showed him. He too was shocked.

Crooked as a striped snake. Practice and final strokes.

I bought the pro pocket reducers over 10 yrs ago. I used them to play Golf on a 9’table with my buddies. They do
serve as a demanding practice tool but you really can’t play normal pool using them. The darn clips get in the way.
But they do serve a purpose practicing difficult shots by making them tougher, if not frustratingly so much you start
thinking the shot can’t be made but of course it can. Long straight in shots have such a narrow an opening the margin
for error in accuracy is crazy tight but then remove the pocket reducers and it seems like how did I ever miss before?
Pocket reducers have a purpose but it’s essentially for practicing specific shots instead of making pool harder to play.
 
A guy I used to play with would sometimes bring a striped 8 ball.
Have no idea what he spent, but whatever it was was too much.
 
I wonder if those who collect large amounts of pool ball sets would want to include any particular set that they thought they wasted their money on? For my table at home I have two sets of pool balls, the first is the original set which are quite old but I still love them because they remind me of what I play with at the pool hall. The second set is the Dynosphere Silver's which I also love. Although I know there's a lot of pool ball set purchasers in these forums who might think they've wasted their money on a particular set.

The term Knots" came from boats that would drop a rope in the water tied to a small log or something, they could watch the rope run out and it was marked by a knot every so far, they would then count the knots to determine the ship's speed. I found a super heavy duty wind up clock that makes a contact at time intervals, it would be hooked to some sort of sensor, to measure speed.

How about marking your table with chalk like you use on a blackboard if you want distances. i sometimes think I might learn a bit by placing mirrors against rails and using one of those laser pens to show reflection, not something you'd do in play bit maybe just to recognize patterns better? how do I hit from here to do 3 banks side, for example. buying a tape measure doens't sound like an issue. I dont believe in Ghosts.
