This podcast is live-streaming on YouTube today at 3:00 CST. Has definite potential for high-drama.

Live stream URL:

Backstory: apparently JA air-barreled Oscar $6,500 some time ago, $500 of which is owed to Dominick Dunn, so he's been vocal about it as well. (Apologies if I didn't get that exactly right, just going off what DD and others have been saying online.) I'm sure some of you know more details or can correct me.

This is professional pool my friends. The fact that they are doing a podcast says a lot. They are capitalizing on this drama while we thought it was all over. Oscar is a classy guy and I don't know why he is doing this.

Curious if the topic of this incident will come up?

Man bets and man loses bet. Stiffs the other guy. Pays man on a later date.

This isn't groundbreaking but I may play along and watch.

We can have a watch along and trash them. It will be fun.

Someone mentioned this happened like 10 years ago, so it's been stewing awhile.

$6,500 in 2013 is the same as $8,400 today due to inflation. If 6% APR interest was earned on in it, it would be worth $15,043 today. (or same interest on $6,500 for 10 years would be $11,640 today).

That's not exactly how it went down from what i heard. This podcast is definitely just 'milking' this drama for all is worth.

I would think something such as this would be worked out between them as it really isn't anyone else's business. I won't be watching.

I will watch and comment like most will be on here. We're having a watch along to be honest.

Some reputations may or may not be tarnished by the members of AZB.

Oscars a good dude and no controversy besides Mosconi Cup comment but Archer on the other hand. Oh boy.

From what I understand he still hasn't payed and it's been 10 years.

One also has to ask where was this match? Was gambling legal in that state? Sanctioned event?

We all know gambling happens and happens where it is illegal.

Heck, AZB still allows the sale of ivory cues. If it wasn't a big deal then why are sellers disguising the ivory as "the good stuff".

Everyone not named Johnny Archer or Oscar should just move on already. This bullshit drama over something that happened 10+ years ago is like heroin to pool players. They just cannot get enough.

Sure, Johnny Archer is a clown but let him and Oscar sort it out and everyone else should mind their own business and worry about their own lives.

But Archer and Oscar decide to put it on youtube though. You think they are documenting the event for their kids to see?

They obviously want to make some money off this situation and probably a way for Archer to pay his debt by coming on the show.

Make money how? That channel gets a few thousand views at best, there’s no way it generates any sort of significant income.

I’m not surprised JA is going on there, dude likes to hear himself talk. Oscar has class though, I would have thought he’d be done discussing this matter with the hoi polloi.

I agree something if fishy here. Why discuss this publicly? My guess would be a grudge match will come of it and they'll try to sell that stream. This podcast is advertising / promotion for the upcoming paid streamed grudge match. Like an MMA weigh in...
