Archer and Oscar talk it out live today at 3:00 CST

It's because they are idiots except Oscar.

They are trying to hype up something from a decade ago. LOL

Do you think there is animosity between these two? They are both in a fraternity of making money in the pool business. Hurting one guy's reputation or fueling the hate is bad for business for them both.

Is there any surprise this is just a civil conversation between two guys. That money isn't much. It is probably long forgotten.

Archer describes the situation as if it was just some normal match. Like no big deal. I lost the match and I just didn't pay him. Period. LOL
I just concluded listening to the podcast. All I’ll say is Oscar is what most of us already knew - he’s a first class gentleman just like his dad Ernesto.

I find it strange that if he was in such a desperate situation, he couldn’t have asked one of his backers for a $ loan but instead chose to steal from Oscar.

The result of this podcast is not good for JA. Before this, likely only a few thousand people in the pool world knew he was a deadbeat. Now as a result of word of mouth and YouTube, that number has grown exponentially.

Well, I feel sorry for Johnny. Down on his luck for sure.

Silly question: if the pool thing is no longer working out for him, why doesn't he just get a job somewhere? I believe the unemployment rate is still at historic lows. I'm pretty sure he could make 40-50K without looking too hard. If I was in dept, had no money, I may even get two jobs until I get on my feet. If this dept was 500K, that's overwhelming, but his debt to Oscar is not overwhelming. Get a job or two and pay it off in two months.

Actually, I would pay to watch Oscar torch Johnny in a race to 21 or something. Anything longer and I would not be able to handle Archer picking lint off the table for 5 whole minutes per game. We can even title it "Winner Gets a Wild Card Pick for MC". Oscar needs to be on that team this year if we want to win.

Edit: Your original post said something about "there's no $ to be made off one stream" or something like that, hence my reply.
Archer played fairly quickly at Turninstone Last week, but Oscar torching him might shut him up about being on the MC team....we can dream

Met him.a couple times. Gave him a lift while he was at SBE.
One of the nicest pros you will ever meet.

Enjoyed watching he and his dad play Turning Stone....Dad is a great player himself.

It's sad that Archer is broke. He's a living legend that was on top of the pool world for 10-15 years. As bad as his current game may be (I hear it's pretty bad), I wouldn't bet against someone that had so much success. Having throwback flashes of brilliance happens in pool.
I watched him live for a little bit - I wouldn't want to play him, not sure how he looked on stream

One also has to ask where was this match? Was gambling legal in that state? Sanctioned event?

We all know gambling happens and happens where it is illegal.

Heck, AZB still allows the sale of ivory cues. If it wasn't a big deal then why are sellers disguising the ivory as "the good stuff".
What are you a fed?

Most people break 3 laws a day....there's alot of them
