Surprised at the "stickiness" of Fargo ratings

Do you know if the "performance" tab in Digital Pool brackets is accurate per tournament? Do they use your proper math, or something they made up which does not match how you would do it? Also do you know if some players in the bracket don't have a fargo, if that performance tab is automatically wrong, and possibly even wrong for all the players? I've seen some weird numbers in the performance tab of Digital Pool, that's why I'm asking.
If there are players in the tournament entered WITHOUT a handicap (fargo or otherwise),
yes, you will see distortions in the performance calculation for matches played against those players.
Whats worse, IMO, is when some of the handicaps are mixed, ie. part fargo and apa, for example.

At that point the output is nearly useless, however that's a knock on the TD either not making a
better ballpark guess by using say Dr. Dave's translation table from Billiards Univ. , or some other
equivalencing and not a flaw of Digital Pool, per se. Then all you have is delusions of accuracy. :cautious:

Common scaling in the inputs make a big difference in the results, but when done right you can glean
considerable insight as to who has played well/over their expectations, and who had a tough day
at the office.

The formulas that generate the performance tab results are indeed accurate and replicable.

This matches the 652.96 in the performance tab.

Using an iterative optimization process as described here (https://forums.azbilliards.com/thre...-a-particular-tournament.536715/#post-7099141) provides a slightly more accurate result but in this case the difference is only 1 point.

Who knows about fargorate. I lost ass bad last week and went up 2 more points.😉😂. Guess fargorate took into account that I felt like a 700 in my head. It just didn’t translate to the table.
The only thing I can think of is I beat the 470 fargorate I played upping my against 400 win % to 55 instead of 54.
Here it was I went 4-1 against a -90. But I don’t feel bad because she beat a 580 3-2 after. Then I lost to a 580 0-4 then beat a 470 3-1(got my B&R). Then lost to a 560 0-3. Went up 2 points on that showing. I don’t get it. I technically should’ve gone down

Sry, skip... My point was Mr. Page wasn't making any effort to comment to direct questions but has been active on the forum since the thread began.
