What rails to get?

Looking to replace rail rubber on my 8footer. What material should I get? Is there choices where one is better than another?
Thanks in advance.

You'll want to figure out which profile you need, then go from there.
One size does not fit all. Some tables will need rubber glued to the rails and some will take rails that simply bolt on.
Details matter.

Thanks Sheldon.
Existing appear to be k55.
Should they be replaced in kind, or can they be replaced with a different profile? Also, what materials are available and what are the differences?

You will get more inout on this in the Mechanic's Section. Be sure to include what table you have.

Whatever profile your table has, that's the profile you need to replace it with.

Without sub-rail modification, a profile change will cause problems. The thickness of the rails and the angle of the wood where they glue on play an important role in which profile is used. There are only a handful of people I would trust to modify the rails, and it is expensive.
Your best bet is to do a direct replacement.
