I never used their previous chalks. I believe these came in blue, green and 'snooker green' colors, and S, M and H options. Coming out of Hong Kong. Got a few cubes of the Grey 7500 chalk given to me by a retailer here that I am going to test out. It is a single option only labelled 'professional' (I'm actually still not even half way through the cube of HeddaRo and Taom Pyro I've been using on Break and playing cues for the last year... both of these were more than enough for anyone)

But the boss recovered his tables in the CPBA Grey cloth. So I am going to give it a go on both break and playing cue.

First thoughts:
- comes in a cool magnetic close box
- more on the soft and moist side than either of the chalks it's replacing
- applies in an almost paste like manner - maybe this is just the color, and the fact I'm accustomed to Pyro
- appears darker on the block than applied to tip
- holds to tip very well
- leaves less residue and marks than I imagined it would during breaking
- left no marks on the cueball, which surprised me given the color and texture of the chalk
- these were free, but I think retail is around $20 when converted from rmb

I've only tested for 15 minutes or so, and will give it a better test today. Will post a couple of pics for anyone interested.

Has anyone used any of their previous offerings? What did you think of those?

Couple of pics of how I received it. Played a solid few hours with it last night. Like it.
Holds very well to all tips, is soft without producing excess residue, or getting the tip 'caked'
Tried various shots to try and force a miscue. Held up well. Left zero marks on the balls.
Will post picks of how it holds on each tip when I have a chance.
Looks much softer/crumblier than it is.

Here is the TP after 4 x 3 or 4-hour sessions. I crumbled the side part dropping it. It actually creates very little mess on application, and sticks to the tips nicely without getting 'cakey'. Don't need to chalk every shot, but still do, as I mentioned. I was surprised by how it looks vs. how it actually applies and plays. It's nice being able to use one piece for both cues.

So is it going to be your chalk of Choice?

I like it, the grey over the pink. It's slightly softer.
I have been given so many other pieces to try since.
I'd highly recommend it to anyone.
Currently, I am using a piece of chalk from a brand called 9half - seems like a mixture of good elements from other brands; shape of pagulayan/DJH, texture of Kamui 0.98, color of TP, in a little dust proof box

My favourite chalks would be HR Max 8000, TP 7500, 9half, DJH/Pagulayan

But at the end of the day, they are all just chalk :)

I can’t find anything on the web about 9half chalk. Do you have a link?

I got a piece of the TP 7500 Gray but haven't gotten to use it yet.

I've also have the TP Pro Blue in Medium hardness that I've used last few sessions. Works pretty well on medium tips. Tonight I've tried it on a hard tip and it was OK for most of the session. It is softer than the Pagulayan and the Taom V10 and it does leave more marks on the CB but everything else stays pretty clean
Unfortunately I had a slight skid tonight on a crucial 9 ball... So I don't know if I'm going to use it anymore in league or tournaments...

I'm definitely over the Taom V10, not going to touch it again, it's very hard to apply to the tip and the tip needs to be scuffed quite often during a session to grab the tip. The Pagulayan is much better but it starting to feel a bit like the V10 mid way. It's still my choice of chalk.

I started a thread about this before. I am really liking it, though (a bit like Kamui 0.98, the. almost clay like consistency means it wears fast). It is cleaner than some of the more clay-like chalks I have used in the past. Joint venture of the Ko Brothers I believe (Mark Williams seems to endorse it also)

I am lucky to have been in touch with a few brands here and there, and have been given so many samples (some top secret which is always fun to try and give feedback)

I certainly prefer the grey over the blue, maybe I am hyper-critical, but I find the blue (and green) to be quite messy, and producing a lot of bad contacts. You have the older version, the new-gen has a different box, and supposedly a different formula, but I cannot tell the difference in all honesty.

I prefer the blue Pagulayan I got given to try over TP Pro. I also dislike Taom v10, and found the pyro to be much better in application and feel. DJH (which is the same as Pagulayan as far as I can tell) makes a light grey chalk, which if I had to spend money on chalk, I would likely opt for. Tp7500 is nice, and I think you will have no issues with it. I liked their pink 7500, which was slightly harder, but they will stop producing it (I heard because they are partnered with JOY who didn't like it marking the cloth in their competitions)
