I have developed a training aid that gives immediate feedback on cueball placement at the point of contact. I created a video for it below. Please leave feedback on the concept and if interested either PM me or use the email in the video. Because AZ Billiards forums has had a huge influence on my pool life I am going to do an initial cost of $14.99 and will include both the instructor and public arm.

Please let me know what you think

Completely different. But thanks for sharing.
bottom line is MAKING BALLS. the arrow is a far simpler way to accomplish that. for straight cueing i used to just set up 2 golf tees at just a tad over cb width. instant feedback and cost nothing. good luck.

And when you knock over the golf tee how long does ot take to walk down to the end of the table. Measure the space between the tees go back up the end of the table get back into your stance and stroke again. In that time, with my practice aid, you could have taken 2 additional practice shots.

I'll be honest I really wanted to laugh from the thumbnail but after watching I could see it being useful. I immediately thought about golf tees, then thought well heck that's a good idea you don't have to set them back up... then saw this had already been talked about. It looks like a good training device honestly. I doubt seasoned players would need it, but it could be really helpful when starting out.

If you learn how to find the stick line, you can place 4 racks on the table and shoot 'em all in without resetting a thing.

Me… it’ll be knocked of the table reprepeatedly
It is adjustable. If you want to start out with a big gap and keep making the aim lane thinner as you get better I have made that possible.

Problem with making a video you can't put EVERYTHING it does in the introductory. It would be 20 minutes long and I would have lost most by minute 5. I plan on doing future videos to showcase specific things and drill suggestions.

Good luck with the project 👍

When testing the validity if the Aiminator I actually shot 1000 shots over the span of 8 days. When I started I was able to hit 6 without moving the pegs out of 10. After the 1000 shots I could consistently hit 8 out of 10. I found my weakness was no longer missing shots but position play.

It was actually fun doing the drills at that point. I would have competitons with myself on how many I could hit in a row. I didn't frustrations of missing shots because the goal was no longer to pocket balls. It was to hit the cueball to a specific point. It really changes the way you drill.

I think it is a good idea and looks like it will work better than some other aiming products on the market. I think the price is good. I was thinking I spend and/or waste more money than that on a variety of things at the pool hall. I may try it.

I’ll try it. Please PM me with further instructions.

Does the design allow you to make shots and send the cue ball down the tangent line, or does the base restrict certain shots?

On the instructor version there is a indicator to show tangent line and is far enough away from the base to allow for shots greater than 15 degrees. If u adjust the base wider it will allow for all shots.

Sorry on my phone so this is the best I got for now. Green dot is where the cueball needs to be to make the shot. Purple dot is where the object ball alignment indicator is (cant see it in this photo) Red line is the tangent indicator.

That mention was more for the earlier days of what has become azbilliards. I have known the old school members from the rec.sport.billiards and alt.sport.pool days when my handle was sscs. I don't view AZbilliards as an entity. It is where everybody arrived when the old locations closed.

the site gives you a platform to sell your product
@jimmyco suggestion to buy a gold membership i dont think is out of line

Not how I practice (that might explain my game) but after watching the video it’s kind of cool!
I like the swinging pegs. As a stroke check I set the cue ball on the spot shooting at a piece of chalk on the middle diamond of the rail and get the cue ball to return to the cue tip. You could use this in the same way, just like a carnival game, don’t get the pegs swinging.
