Whitten cue rattle

Recently got a 3x7 whitten case in and as I carry it with backpack straps my cues rattle inside the tubes. Any way to prevent or reduce the noise? At one point I thought I saw plug style joint protectors that fit flush in the top of the tube.

ear plugs will work.

seriously, sell it and find a case that fits cues. you shouldn't have to modify an expensive case for a flaw. unless they were made that way for easy extraction. then thats on you.

or if you have to keep it some pieces of pool noodle put in the right spots will work.

As mentioned use the supplied spacers, or you could try these…..

Cheers
Cool.

But the tightwad in me could never pay $15 for one.

I'd make something like this work.

One of the things I didn’t like about my jack justis .. I would have to stuff a towel in the top because around hearing the cues rattle back and fourth drove me crazy. At some point I had jb put his insert in it to make it perfect. Now I have a jb mason and I think it’s the perfect case in just about every way.

I had a Murnack case years ago that I got used. Beautiful exterior but the cues just rattled around. I used it for storage and eventually sold it. My older instroke, is much nicer and the leather is buttery soft with perfect tooling. It and my it’s George cases were 10x the case that Murnack was. I sold it for much more than I thought I would.
