Can you identify this cue? Hiolle?

This looks to me like an early 20th Century French cue: note carving, ivory plaque, points and wood screw. Any ideas? hiole 6.jpg

Yes, I just acquired a Hiolle cue and learned a lot about them. Mine is about a 100 years old and it is actually very well constructed and plays really well - amazing how straight it stayed! hoping to generate some renewed interest in these antique cues-

I also picked up a 1960s Sampaio recently- my first one of those too- this one was in the original retail box, basically unused, and it plays very well too- the metal joints are just sleeves- there is actually a lot of wood to wood contact in the joint. I was never into the older European cues, but I have a renewed respect for them.
