US Cue Exports?

Biloxi Boy

Man With A Golden Arm
Does anyone have access to data for US cue manufacturers? I particularly would like to know how many "higher end" production cues are made and how many are sold here and how many are sold overseas. Schon interests me in particular but any data from manufacturers with similar pricing would be welcome.

That info is not easy to find if possible at all. Good luck.

Then let's try it like this? Anyone have a feeling as to Schon's overseas sales?
again there's no way to get this info. why is my question. the companies don't release this stuff. i read somewhere yrs back that Schon makes roughly 1500/yr. what % goes overseas i have no clue.

It isn't possible to answer without all sellers' input.

As said before: good luck.
the makers themselves are not going to tell you. even foreign input wouldn't be much if any help. you could email every US production cue co. and ask but i'd bet they'll nicely tell you to pound sand.

C'mon schoolboys, industrial espionage, hacking, leaks, disgruntled former employees -- all fairy tales? No one has ever talked out of school around here? Pool players have quit gossiping? Oops, there a Communication coming in now . . .

Schon hasn't been popular in a long time. Looking around my pool hall in Europe, most people use Cuetec, Mezz, Exceed and Predador. A few customs here and there.

Its ENTIRELY possible, highly likely actually, that no one cares how many cues get exported.

Professional equipment is the thing now. Then again you are in Europe.

Most of the custom makers are from USA.

It is one thing I am proud to say is we make the best cues here.

I heard years ago that the high price on Southwest Cues was due to foreign demand.
Yes part of that comes into play but it is general supply and demand.

Nobody knows who makes SW cues.

I don't mind the next generation (son or daughter) continuing the tradition but we don't know who makes SW cues.

I think op is asking about production stuff not super-hi demand lo-prod. custom cues. SW has a huge following coupled with very lo output hence the wait/price.
