Show me your wrapless cues

Show me what you got! Looking for some inspiration...

Having played against somebody using a very Jazzy and expensive Zen cue, I am thinking that I am going to walk that road... He has the contact and language ability to help me get what I want. I've been looking for another cue as a spare or main player and thought this a suitable way to use some of my end of contract bonus. Been looking for a second cue for a while, as I travel between locations and hate the rigmarole involved of taking it on the plane or high speed train (The Tonkin that I was looking at was sold while I was on vacation :( )

My current player is a Vigus. Purple Heart into curly maple with veneers. Simple and beautiful.

So, I was thinking very simple; ebony butt sleeve, 6 points with a purple heart forearm. Possibly some veneers.

Thanks for sharing :)

Here is my player: Andrew Rounceville blank, Cored curly Walnut, beautiful veneers, BEM forearm, finished by a friend on mine close to home.
I wanted to keep it simple, no fancy ring work or inlays, just a flat out playing machine. I love it. I`ve been trying to buy 1 of Andy`s blanks for 4 yrs now & finally found this at this yrs SBE. Hope you enjoy the pics; (Also wanted to add, the butt of this cue was made from an old shotgun stock. Pretty cool I think

Absolutely gorgeous! This is definitely going on the inspiration wall. Love the veneers and some great looking wood.
The exact vibe I am looking for. Thanks for sharing. Hope a few more get posted up :)

There was a really nice Jim Pierce posted on the FS forum via. Superior Cues. Wanted to get it, but international shipping makes me nervous, and I am close enough to go pick up a Zen when it's ready/know people where I am based who work closely with them.

Thank you Flakeandrun, its even better looking in person. My pics don`t do it any justice what so ever.
Good luck in your search
Jeff

The butterfly is a bit fancy for me, but love the dark spotted grain of the center section. Is that Snakewood?

This purpleheart wrapless with franklin era shaft is my daily player. Zeus have the same founder as Zen.

THIS! Something like this is exactly the kind of thing that my brain is drawn to. That is really lovely. I have seen a few Zeus on Xianyu app for sale here. Are they still in operation? Or did they fall through to make way for Zen? What is the joint pin out of curiosity? Is it 3/8x11 SW style like Zen?

Yes, 3/8x11 SW so it will fit my Franklin era shaft. I have a Kersenbrock shaft as backup. I'm upfront that's it's a Zeus. Zeus wasn't in production for long. Founder decided to focus on Zen.

Will have a good look, there seem to be a few Zeus cues on Xianyu (one is quite similar to the one you posted, but the colors aren't as nice). Thanks for the tip. There is another company from Taiwan I see on Xianyu called CBZ which also make nice cues.
My current cue is 3/8x10, so whatever I pick up, I will get a couple shafts to match if the pin is different from what I have now.
